Once the clinician writes your prescription, GenMeds emails you and sends an in-app message with your next step. After that, the next message comes from your pharmacy: within about 2 business days (weekends don’t count), the pharmacy contacts you to set up your account and payment, then handles delivery or pickup and sends your shipping, tracking and pickup updates.
Who will contact you
Wegovy (pen or pill): NovoCare Pharmacy, Novo Nordisk’s pharmacy service. NovoCare reaches out to set up payment and shipping. For your first order, you sign a consent form and create a NovoCare account; after that, refills run through NovoCare. Your medication ships to your home.
Zepbound and Foundayo: LillyDirect, Lilly’s pharmacy service. LillyDirect reaches out to set up payment and ships your medication to your home. If you’d rather pick it up at a participating Walmart pharmacy, ask LillyDirect to set that up when they contact you.
Repatha: Amazon Pharmacy. Amazon Pharmacy reaches out to set up your account and payment; its contact details are in that first message.
Your prescription goes straight to that pharmacy, so you don’t choose a pharmacy, and nobody will ask you to pick one from a text message. The only other party who may contact you about a pharmacy is Photon, our pharmacy coordinating partner, and only if you asked Photon to move your prescription (call or text (513) 866-3212).
If you’re not sure a message is genuine
Don’t reply with personal, health or payment details until you’ve checked.
Check your Dashboard for GenMeds’ in-app message about your next step, and check that the sender is the pharmacy named above for your medication.
If a message asks you to choose a pharmacy, don’t act on it; that step no longer exists.
Message the Support team from your Dashboard and ask whether the message is genuine.
GenMeds doesn’t ask for health details by email or in the help chat. Share those only with your clinician through the chat on your Dashboard, by replying to the most recent message about your prescription.
For your medication order, payment, delivery or pickup, contact your pharmacy. If you haven’t heard from your pharmacy after 2 business days, contact the pharmacy directly (NovoCare Pharmacy: 1-888-809-3942, Monday to Friday, 8am to 8pm Eastern; LillyDirect Customer Care: 1-844-559-3471) or message the Support team from your Dashboard.
