When can I pick up my prescription, and what should I ask the pharmacist?

Your pharmacy sets the pickup timing and will let you know when your prescription is ready, so the pharmacy is the place to ask. How soon it’s ready depends on the medication and on whether the pharmacy has it in stock.

How pickup is set up

Your medication ships to your home unless you set up pickup:

  • Zepbound: ask LillyDirect to set up pickup at a participating Walmart pharmacy when they contact you, or call LillyDirect Customer Care at 1-844-559-3471.

  • Wegovy: call NovoCare Pharmacy at 1-833-949-5527 (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm Eastern) to switch to pickup at a local pharmacy, or call or text Photon at (513) 866-3212 to move your prescription to the pharmacy you prefer. To get the cash-pay price at a local pharmacy, you need the Wegovy Savings Card: enroll before you pick up, and you pay at the counter with the card.

  • Repatha: Amazon Pharmacy tells you your delivery options when it contacts you.

Questions to ask your pharmacist

  • Has my prescription arrived?

  • Is the medication in stock? If not, when do you expect to have it?

  • When will it be ready for pickup, and how will you let me know?

  • What will it cost, and does any savings program apply to me? You pay the pharmacy directly for your medication; the GenMeds Membership fee doesn’t include it.

If something isn’t working as expected

If the pharmacy says it hasn’t received your prescription, check with the pharmacy that your prescription was moved to it (Photon, at (513) 866-3212, if Photon moved it; NovoCare Pharmacy at 1-833-949-5527 if you switched Wegovy to pickup). If you can’t reach the pharmacy, message the Support team from your Dashboard and we’ll help you with the next step. For pickup timing, stock and payment, the pharmacy is the right contact.
