GenMeds gives you access to a clinician who reviews your health information and, if treatment is appropriate, prescribes medication for cholesterol management or weight loss. Medication comes from a pharmacy, not from GenMeds. Here’s how it works.
Take the GenMeds Risk Assessment. Your results aren’t a diagnosis.
Start the cholesterol management or weight loss intake form from your Dashboard. You can complete one intake form at a time.
When you submit the form, you sign up and pay for the GenMeds Membership, which gives you access to clinician review, prescriptions and clinician support. The membership fee doesn’t include medication.
The clinician reviews your intake form, typically within 1–2 business days, and decides whether treatment is appropriate for you. If it is, the clinician writes your prescription.
GenMeds emails you and sends an in-app message with your next step.
Your prescription goes straight to the pharmacy that fills your medication: NovoCare Pharmacy for Wegovy, LillyDirect for Zepbound and Foundayo, or Amazon Pharmacy for Repatha. You don’t choose a pharmacy. Within about 2 business days, the pharmacy contacts you to set up your account and payment, then ships your medication to your home. Zepbound can also be picked up at a participating Walmart pharmacy (set up with LillyDirect), and Wegovy at a local pharmacy if you switch through NovoCare or Photon. You pay the pharmacy for your medication, and the pharmacy sends shipping, tracking and pickup updates.
Before each new prescription, you complete a refill check-in from your Dashboard so the clinician can review how treatment is going. GenMeds emails you and sends an in-app message when it’s due.
Who to contact
For your account, your membership or how the process works, message the Support team from your Dashboard. For your treatment, message your clinician through the chat on your Dashboard: reply to the most recent message about your prescription. For your medication order, payment or delivery, contact your pharmacy. To have your prescription filled at a different pharmacy, call or text Photon at (513) 866-3212.
