When will my medication arrive?

Delivery and pickup timing is set by the pharmacy that fills your prescription, so there’s no single timeline. It depends on the medication, the pharmacy and whether you chose delivery or pickup. The pharmacy sends the shipping, tracking and pickup updates, and it’s the right place to ask for an estimate.

How your medication reaches you

  1. The clinician reviews your intake form or refill check-in, typically within 1–2 business days.

  2. If the clinician writes a prescription, GenMeds emails you and sends an in-app message with your next step.

  3. Your prescription goes straight to the pharmacy that fills your medication: NovoCare Pharmacy for Wegovy, LillyDirect for Zepbound and Foundayo, or Amazon Pharmacy for Repatha. You don’t choose a pharmacy.

  4. Within about 2 business days (weekends don’t count), the pharmacy contacts you to set up your account and payment. You pay the pharmacy for your medication.

  5. The pharmacy ships your medication to your home, or has it ready for pickup if you set that up (Zepbound at a participating Walmart pharmacy through LillyDirect; Wegovy at a local pharmacy through NovoCare or Photon). The pharmacy sends you updates until your medication is delivered or ready for pickup.

If it’s taking longer

Contact the pharmacy for a shipping or pickup update: NovoCare Pharmacy at 1-888-809-3942 (Monday to Friday, 8am to 8pm Eastern), LillyDirect Customer Care at 1-844-559-3471, or Amazon Pharmacy using the contact details in its message to you. If you can’t reach the pharmacy, or you’re not sure who to ask, message the Support team from your Dashboard.
