Will I need labs, and how do labs work?

You may need labs as part of cholesterol management treatment. The clinician decides whether and when they’re needed, so they can see how your LDL cholesterol is responding to treatment.

How labs are arranged

If the clinician decides labs are needed, there are two ways to provide them:

  • The clinician orders the labs for you.

  • You provide recent results from your own doctor.

The clinician decides which applies to you and tells you what’s needed and how to share it. Don’t send lab results to the Support team by chat or email.

When you’ll be told

If labs are needed before a refill, you’ll be told before your refill check-in is due, so you have time to complete them. The clinician reviews your results together with your refill check-in.

Questions about your results

Questions about your results, or about whether you need labs, go to your clinician: message them through the chat on your Dashboard by replying to the most recent message about your prescription. The Support team can’t answer questions about your results. For anything else about the process, message the Support team from your Dashboard.
