How do I ask for a dose change?

Ask your clinician: dose changes are the clinician’s decision, made at your refill check-in or when you message them through the chat on your Dashboard. The Support team can’t change your dose.

When a dose change might come up

A dose change may come up if you’re having side effects, you’re getting close to your weight loss goal, or your weight isn’t changing the way the clinician expected. With weight loss medication, people typically start on a lower dose that the clinician increases step by step over time, on a set schedule. Repatha works differently: it has no gradual step-up from a low starting dose, and the clinician prescribes one of its two fixed dosing schedules.

How to ask

  • At your refill check-in, which asks how treatment is going and what you’d like to happen with your dose. The clinician reviews it, typically within 1–2 business days.

  • Before then, by messaging your clinician through the chat on your Dashboard: reply to the most recent message about your prescription and say you’d like to discuss your dose.

Your prescription stays as it is until the clinician confirms a change. Until then, keep using your medication exactly as your clinician prescribed. If the clinician prescribes a new dose, GenMeds emails you and sends an in-app message with your next step.

For anything about the process, message the Support team from your Dashboard. In an emergency, call 911. If you’re having thoughts of harming yourself, call or text 988.
