What should I do in an emergency, or if I think I took too much medication?

In an emergency, call 911. If you think you may have taken too much of your medication, call the Poison Help line at 1-800-222-1222 or go to the nearest hospital emergency room right away.

Poison Help or emergency medical professionals can review the dose you took, any symptoms you’re having, and what to do next.

If you’re having thoughts of harming yourself, call or text 988, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.

Once you’re safe, tell your clinician

Once you’ve followed the guidance you were given, let the clinician who prescribed the medication know what happened. Message your clinician through the chat on your Dashboard and reply to the most recent message about your prescription, so the clinician can take it into account for your treatment.

Note: Don’t use the help chat for urgent help or to describe symptoms. It isn’t monitored for emergencies, and the Support team can’t give medical advice.
