What would make me ineligible for weight loss treatment?

Weight loss treatment isn’t appropriate for everyone. The clinician decides whether it may be appropriate for you from what you share in your intake form; the Support team doesn’t assess eligibility.

Reasons you may be ineligible

You may be ineligible if any of the following apply:

  • You have a personal or family history of certain thyroid cancers

  • You’ve had pancreatitis or pancreatic cancer

  • You have certain liver, kidney, gallbladder, stomach, or bowel conditions

  • You have uncontrolled diabetes, type 1 diabetes, or use certain diabetes medications

  • You’ve had certain recent heart or stroke-related events

  • You’re pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant soon

  • You have a history of certain eating disorders

  • You have certain serious mental health conditions that aren’t currently managed

  • You recently had bariatric surgery

  • You don’t meet other requirements, such as the age range for treatment

This isn’t a complete list. The clinician decides from everything you share in your intake form.

If you’re not sure whether something in your health history matters, include it in your intake form so the clinician can take it into account. Share health details in the form, not in the help chat or by email. For questions about how the process works, message the Support team from your Dashboard.
