If you miss a dose of Repatha, inject it as soon as you remember, as long as it’s within 7 days of the missed dose, and then continue on your original schedule. If it’s been more than 7 days, what to do depends on whether you take Repatha every 2 weeks or once a month. Always follow the instructions that came with your medication.
If you missed a dose of Repatha
If it’s within 7 days of the missed dose, inject Repatha as soon as you remember. Then continue with your original dosing schedule. For example: If your dose was due on the 1st and you remember on the 5th, inject it on the 5th. Your next dose is still due on your original schedule.
If it has been more than 7 days since your missed dose, what you should do depends on your dosing schedule:
(a) If you take Repatha every 2 weeks, wait and inject your next dose on your original schedule. This puts you back on your original schedule. For example: If your dose was due on the 1st and it’s now the 10th, wait and inject your next dose on the date it was already scheduled (the 15th).
(b) If you take Repatha once a month, inject the dose and start a new schedule using this date. For example: If your dose was due on the 1st and you remember on the 10th, inject it on the 10th. Your new schedule starts on the 10th, so your next dose is due on the 10th of the following month.
Note: If you’re not sure when to take Repatha after a missed dose, message your clinician.
Don’t stop using Repatha without talking with your clinician. If you stop using Repatha, your cholesterol levels can increase.
If you use more Repatha than you should, message your clinician.
